How much does it cost?

Understanding all the fees involved will help you estimate your total cost before submitting your passport for visa application.

Total Cost = Embassy Visa Fee + Service Fee + Return Shipping Fee

1. Chinese Embassy Visa Application Fees

The Chinese Embassy or Consulate charges the following visa application fees:

For U.S. Citizens

$140 — Standard processing

+$25 — Expedited processing (when approved by the consular officer)

For Non-U.S. Citizens

$23–$150 — Standard processing

+$25 — Expedited processing

2. Our Service Fees

Our service fees cover professional handling, submission, monitoring, pickup, and secure return of your passport.

$60 per applicant — Submission for Standard Service

For expedited submissions, an additional $60 priority handling fee applies per order, in addition to standard processing fees.

Most applications require only one submission. However, if the Embassy returns the application and additional documents must be submitted, a $20 re-submission fee will apply. 

We would like to kindly remind all applicants to mail in passports only after receiving the official “Passport to be Submitted” approval on the COVA website.

Recently, we have observed an increase in passports being mailed to our office even though the application has not completed the Preliminary review on the COVA website. While we understand the intention to expedite the process, passports received prematurely cannot be submitted immediately and require active case-level monitoring while we await approval from the visa office.

In such cases, the file must be assigned to a dedicated case manager to oversee document handling, track incoming materials, and ensure proper matching and consolidation of all required documents before final submission. This process involves additional administrative time, coordination, and secure handling beyond that of a standard submission.

To account for these additional efforts, a $100 holding and handling fee per passport will be applied to any passports received before formal submission authorization is granted.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a secure, efficient, and well-managed application process for all clients. Submitting your passport at the appropriate stage allows us to minimize risks, reduce unnecessary delays, and provide the highest level of service.

3. FedEx Return Shipping Fees

We use secure FedEx shipping with Direct Signature Confirmation and up to $500 insurance included:

$23.00 — FedEx 2-Day PM Delivery

$58.15 — FedEx Priority Overnight Delivery

Alternatively, you may provide your own pre-paid envelope with a tracking number from USPS, UPS, or FedEx.

Time Frames and Progress Updates

You will receive automated email notifications from our system at various stages of the process:

1. When your package has been received
2. When your passport has been dropped off
3. When your passport has been prepared for return shipment, along with the outbound tracking number

The notification emails are typically sent around 4:00 PM EST. 

Estimated Time Frames for passport turnaround after we receive it in our office (not including return shipping time):

• Standard Processing: Approximately 6–10 business days
• Expedited Processing(if available): Approximately 3–5 business days
