Study visa (X), issued to those who intend to study in China

Study visa document requirments:

Your valid US Passport

  • With at least 2 blank visa pages
  • With at least 6 month’s validity for single entry visa
  • With at least 12 month’s validity for 10 years visa

Proof for state of residence

  • State issued driver’s license
  • Or,State issued resident I.D
  • Or, utility Bill
  • Or, Bank Statement

Visa photo

  • A digital photo is required to upload to your China Online Visa Application.
  • Please refer to our Chinese Visa Photo Guide for requirements.
  • Photo more than 6 months old cannot be used.
  • Region and Location
    • Choose “North America”
    • Locate and select “United States of America”
    • Choose “Washington D.C”
  • Save information
    • Don’t forget to save your application I.D
  • Form completion
    • Given Name must include both your first name and your middle name
    • Complete the form as thoroughly as possible, stop and close the form at the “10th” page.
    • Do not submit the form until Oasis has completed the review and given you further instructions.

  • School enrollment letter or School Admission Notice
  • Please sign first if there is a signature field

JW202 / JW201 form

  • Original document is needed if it is mailed to you
  • Official Digital Version may also be used after print out
  • Please sign the “Applicant Signature ” section. (If applicable)

  • Previous Chinese residence permit (if applicable)
  • U.S green card or valid visa (If applicable)

How much will it cost?

We usually charge $200 for a study visa application processing, plus the Embassy fee $140 for U.S citizen, and additional $20 for a FedEx 2nday return shipping.  

How long will it take?

 

Upon submitting your application to the Chinese Embassy, the standard processing period is generally 4-5 business days. Please note that extra time for reviewing, preparing, and finalizing your application is necessary before submission. We recommend initiating this process 3-4 weeks in advance of your scheduled travel date. In most cases, processing can be completed within 10 working days.

For expedited processing, our goal is to secure your visa as quickly as possible, typically within 3-5 business days, excluding shipping time.
