Yes, the Chinese Embassy Visa Section is now open to the public for walk-in application submissions.  

You may apply for a visa directly with the Chinese Embassy, or you may apply through a visa agent like Oasis China Visa Services.

The Visa Section of the Chinese Embassy no longer requires an appointment for walk-in submissions. Oasis China Visa Services now handles visa application submissions and pickups on a daily basis. If you plan to drop off your application at our office, please contact us beforehand to schedule an appointment. This will ensure we are prepared to assist you efficiently and provide the best possible service.

The short answer is no, but for expedited cases, a flight confirmation from the airline or booking agencies like Flychina.com can assist in demonstrating the urgency of your travel.

If your new passport contains identical information to your old passport (including name, date of birth, and gender) and you have a valid Chinese visa in your old passport, you may use both passports together to travel to China. However, please ensure that the purpose of your trip matches the visa type in your old passport. If not, you will need to apply for a new visa.

No, the Chinese Embassy does not aceept application by mail. The application can only be submitted in person or by an agent on-site.

After your visa application has been accepted by the Chinese Embassy, it typically takes four working days to process if all the accompanying documents meet the requirements. But in some special cases, the process time might be longer.  Be advised that additional time is necessary for reviewing, preparing, and shipping your application before submission. We suggest initiating the process 2-4 weeks prior to your intended travel dates.
