The Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C. has informed our office of temporary adjustments to its standard visa processing and passport pick-up schedule for late September and early October 2026.
These changes are related to upcoming visa office closures and may result in longer processing times for some applicants.
If you are planning to travel to China during this period, please review the estimated schedule below and allow additional time for your visa application.

These closures may affect both passport submission and visa pick-up schedules.
Processing Dates Are Estimates
The dates listed above are estimated standard processing dates provided for planning purposes.
Some Chinese visa applications may require additional review, supporting documents, or other processing and can take longer than the estimated schedule.
Applicants should therefore avoid relying on the estimated visa ready date as a guaranteed completion date.
Daily Passport Submission Limits
The Chinese Embassy also limits the number of passports that visa agencies may submit each business day.
During periods of high application volume, Oasis China Visa Services may receive more passports than can be submitted to the Embassy on the same day.
As a result, passport submission may be delayed based on our daily workload and Embassy submission capacity.
When capacity is limited, urgent and time-sensitive applications may be given higher submission priority.
Planning Your Travel to China
Applicants traveling in late September or October should allow additional time for possible processing and submission delays.
We recommend avoiding non-refundable travel arrangements whenever possible until your Chinese visa has been issued and your passport is ready for return.
