2023年3月8日，中国正式加入《取消外国公文书认证要求的公约》，并将于2023年11月7日在中美两国间生效。自11月7日起，美国签发的公文书在公约范围内的，只需办理美国的附加证明书（Apostille），无需进行中美两国的领事认证，即可送往中国内地使用。
