After obtaining your China visa, please note you will need to obtain a certificate of negative result of nucleic acid tests for Covid – 19 three days prior to your boarding. Please note that the Embassy will only accept the RT-PCR Test. In addition, the certificate of negative result/ test report must show/contain:
- your name
- DOB
- type of test
- result of test
- report date
- name and the contact information of the test agency must be displayed on the test report/certificate.
You must submit/email this certificate along with a health declaration to the Embassy at least 24 hours prior to your boarding date. The Embassy email address to process the health declaration and certificate of negative result is: “embchn@gmail.com” . Once the Embassy receives your certificate of negative result/ test report and your health declaration form, they will process your process and stamp your health declaration. Then email you back the stamped health declaration, please print out and bring the stamped health declaration with you on your departure date. Your airline company will be checking for the stamped health declaration from the Embassy at the airport.
The Embassy does not have a designated institute or lab to take the test, any local reputable medical facility that is able to provide the RT-PCR Test should work. Feel free to use the website provided by the US Health Resources & Services Administration to help locate a health center that can provide the test near you: https://findahealthcenter.hrsa.gov/ .
The Embassy will process health declaration 7 days a week, Monday – Sunday (even on holidays). Please make sure your certificate of negative result shows an issue date that is within 3 days prior to your departure date. For people that have transit stops, please make sure all legs of your trip falls within this 3-day window. For instance, if your report shows an issue date of 10/02/2020, make sure you board you last segment of your trip by 10/05/2020.
