Please follow these guidelines carefully to avoid common mistakes:
Family Name and Given Name

Family Name: Your last name

Given Name: Your first and middle names

Ensure both fields exactly match the details printed on your passport.
National I.D. Field

Enter your passport number.

Do NOT enter your Social Security Number (SSN); it is not required.

Passport Type & Validity

Always select “Ordinary” as your passport type.

If your passport is nearing expiration, renew it before applying. Short-term visas may be issued otherwise.
Working/Studying History

Clearly list your employment history for the past five years.

Students (high school or college) must enter their school’s information.

Retirees should provide employment history for the five years prior to retirement.

Clearly specify your job title and briefly describe your primary responsibilities. Although marked optional on the form, this information is required for embassy review.
Travel Itinerary Section

Provide tentative travel dates and accommodation details, even if not yet confirmed or paid.

Confirmed flight or hotel bookings are not required; however, a planned accommodation address in China is mandatory. Acceptable addresses include a hotel, friend’s residence, or family memberβs home.
Additional Recommendations

Complete the form thoroughly and stop at the review page.
